How do I compress an image online?+

Why did my PNG get bigger?+
PNG is already losslessly compressed. Re-encoding PNG cannot shrink it much - switch the output format to WebP for real savings.
Is there a size limit?+
The browser checks images up to 25 MB before processing. Larger images should be resized or compressed in another step first.
How can I make an image smaller than 2 MB?+
Choose WebP or JPG, lower the quality, compress, and check the reported output size. If it is still over 2 MB, lower the quality or resize the image before compressing again.
